Stripe's fees vary by region and payment method. This calculator shows your net per-sale revenue after Stripe processing for the most common regions and methods. Use it to figure out your real margin before you set retail prices.
In the US, standard Stripe pricing is 2.9% + 30¢ for online card payments. International cards add 1.5%. Disputes cost $15.
In the UK and EU, EEA cards are 1.5% + 20p / 0.25€, non-EEA cards are 2.5%. Wise: significantly cheaper than US rates if your buyers are local.
Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link don't add fees on top of card rates — they just speed up checkout.
Use Stripe's standard rates rather than third-party processors that add markup (e.g., Shopify's third-party transaction fee).
For high volume, contact Stripe sales — custom rates are available above ~$80k/month.
Encourage Apple Pay / Google Pay / Link — same fee, but ~30% higher conversion than card-by-hand on mobile.
Stripe processing rates are identical — instxnt uses Stripe Connect so the buyer pays Stripe's standard rates. On top of that, instxnt Free adds a 3% platform fee; the $19/mo Pro plan drops it to 0%.
Stripe charges the same per-transaction rate for subscription billing. Stripe Billing has additional features at extra cost; the underlying processing fee is the same.
No discount — Stripe processing is the same rate everywhere. instxnt does add its own platform fee (3% on Free, 0% on Pro), but the underlying Stripe processing is identical to using Stripe directly.
Free for unlimited storefronts. Stripe-only fees on the free plan.
